A Refreshing Tribute to Wisconsin Agriculture + Father’s Day
We’re going to celebrate with a Marvelous Mint Experience at Food + Farm Exploration Center and an early celebration of Father’s Day!
We’ve invited the award-winning King Cone ice cream trailer** to help us celebrate with a menu dedicated to the refreshing flavor of Wisconsin-grown mint.
Plus, we’ll be hosting special activities along with hands-on exploration into the journey from field to fork, all included with admission! Feed your hungry mind, visit our 61 interactive exhibits while you’re here.
We’re also offering free admission* for dads all day on June 20th to celebrate an early Father’s Day!
WHAT TO EXPECT
Ice Cream Social (10 AM - 1 PM): The King Cone trailer will be on-site, serving up 16 delicious flavors of their award-winning ice cream to help us celebrate the start of the summer season.
Exclusive Mint Menu: Try one of four featured mint flavors: Oreo Grasshopper, Mint on Your Pillow, Mint Magic, and Minty Mackinac Fudge.
Homemade Treats: Don't miss the homemade Chocolate Cookie sandwiches, specifically crafted and filled with an assortment of mint ice creams.
Standard Favorites: Not a fan of mint? No problem! The trailer will feature a full lineup of King Cone’s standard award-winning flavors.
Your Choice of Style: All ice cream is available in a dish, cake cone, or waffle cone.

Colorful Plate Café: Offering BOGO mint mojitos and a pulled pork sandwich special!
Story Time (10:30AM & 12:30 PM): Join us in the exhibits for fresh stories featuring mint.
Minty Education: Explore the Center to learn how Wisconsin's rich muck soils help these plants thrive and produce enough oil for millions of tubes of toothpaste and sticks of gum. Experience our Stories from the Field exhibit to learn how Gumz Farms in Endeavor, WI, is growing mint for Wrigley and Colgate!
FUN FACTS
Did you know that Wisconsin has been growing mint commercially since 1943? We are 5th in the nation for peppermint and spearmint oil production!
That classic "cool" sensation actually comes from a compound called menthol that tricks your mouth's cold sensors.
